    hi folks,
I'm after a basic mp3 editing program where I can cut, paste, fade in, fade out...ect.

Anyone know where I can get a free download or can send me one....

    cheers

I think Cool Edit is a free download. Head to download.com and search for it. I used to use it all the time, now I only use it every so often.

You'll need to find something which does MP3 -
WAV file conversion, because it's WAV files
you edit, and then '.save as' to MP3 format

CoolEditPro - Adobe Audition - is available
    for a trial download at:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/tryado...jsp#product=92

Audition is the shit, really, for WAV/mp3 editing,
but don't expect to find it for free; although,
    these guys emailed me recently:

    http://kakdilasoft.com/det45.html

I ain't approving them at all, but are they are
very, very cheap, maybe too cheap to be true.

I'm sure there's lots of alt. programs, like
Soundforge, which also provide lots of MP3
    support nowadays.

I use Audio Cleaning 3.0 which you can do almost anything in, cut, paste, fade, EQ, remove hiss and best of all record from tape straight into your PC. Used copies on ebay for 99p but make sure it includes the lead for your PC to tape recorder or record deck if you still have one.
